Goliath

We have been trying to do more hands-on scripture activities with our kids since they are too young to read. For Family Night this week we created Goliath and then took turns defeating him (thanks, Laura for the great idea!) Clara loved that even though Goliath was big and she is little she could take him down just like David did.

We started by measuring out the paper (dollar store wrapping paper) to Goliath's height.
Then we took turns drawing parts of him. Our drawing isn't very dark so it's a little tricky to see in the photo.
Then we alternated holding up the paper to be Goliath and throwing socks to knock him down.
Clara just kept asking to do it over and over each time Goliath fell. She would have gone on all night if I wouldn't have reminded her it was time for a treat.

What a cute idea! I'll have to remember that one. Keep sharing your other FHE successes!

Gotta love the Moses Action Figure
