It's about time!

That's what I'm guessing a lot of you are thinking. I've been a slacker on the posting, but here it goes...our Christmas in a nutshell!

It started pretty typical with an amazing gingerbread house
and plates of goodies for friends and neighbors.

Then we headed off to California. We flew into John Wayne Airport in Orange County. After a lost bag (that's a long story) and a trip to the Getty we made it home for the annual Rozier Christmas Eve party. I had the honor of directing the nativity, and it was pretty fantastic!

Santa spoiled us all on Christmas morning, especially this newly equipped all-sport star athlete!

We took a trip up to Bass Lake and did a little snow shoeing,

And hung out by the lake!

A long overdue night out with the girls was definitely a highlight! Janelle, Greer, Shayne, Kaitlin, and me. I love those girls! We hadn't all been together since high school!

And New Year's Eve at Disneyland...what could be better? It was pretty fantastic, however I have never seen the place so crowded! Definitely a once in a lifetime, because I don't think I'm brave enough to face those crowds again. But it was a New Year's to remember, and oh so much fun!
The ultimate highlight, however, was finding out that these two younguns are going to be grandparents! That's right, I'm pregnant!
This was Nate's reaction when he found out he was going to be a dad...either that or when he opened Napoleon Dynamite on Christmas. You'll have to ask him which he is more excited about.
Ok, in all seriousness, we are both very excited (read ecstatic/terrified) to be parents. We feel very blessed and look forward to the adventures that 2009 holds in store for us!

Thanksgiving

Here is the story of our Thanksgiving weekend from the end to the beginning (because that's the way the pictures loaded and I don't feel like moving them around). Enjoy!

On Saturday we had a big blizzard...our first big snow of the year! This was the view from our balcony that day.

What holiday would be complete without a trip to the urgent care? This is Nate looking very sad with his newly broken finger.

Here is Nate pointing to our first Christmas tree we put up on Friday. It is very beautiful if I do say so myself!

This was Nate's finger after the ward turkey bowl and before the urgent care. The picture doesn't do it justice...it was nasty--purple and swollen!

These are our friends Dani, Camille, and Landon. We had Thanksgiving at Landon and Camille's house. They were the perfect hosts!

Here is the pie collection. The lemonade merengue I made was nasty! But the pumpkin cheesecake and apple were both big hits!

Here is the lovely tablescape.

And this is my gorgeous turkey! It was my first one and it was mighty tasty!

Here's my beautiful apple pie...and yes it tasted as good as it looked.

This was 2 weeks before Thanksgiving at the BYU/Air Force football game in Colorado Springs. It was freezing, but it was a great game!

Not to brag...

I filled up this week for $17.95. Yes, $17.95...that's gaslight on to all the way full. Ok, I'm done, no more about the amazing gas prices in Colorado...but if you want to move here, we would love to have more friends close by!

Friday, November 14, 2008

I never thought I would see gas under $2.00 again. This was taken a few days ago. I saw it at $1.79 today. It just keeps dropping! I love Colorado!
